Norfycurtain Fire Resistant Curtain.
The fire curtain is deployed by gravity upon receipt of a fire signal or failure with the alarm system, which ensure a Fail safe system. The system has been tested to BS 476: Part 22 and has achieved a 4 hour rating.
Dimensions:
Electric operation - opening height up to 6000mm, opening width up to 6000mm for a single curtain. Widths above 6000mm will be manufactured from multiple roller with a 600mm overlap with a common bottom rail
Curtain
Constructed from 1, 2, 4 ½ Hour rated , Glass cloth fabric with a polymer coated to both sides, tested to BS 476 Parts 6,7, 20 and 22
Bottom Rail
The lower edge of the curtain will incorporate a twin inverted powder coated mild steel angle which acts as a weight bar to enable the curtain to un wind upon receipt a fire signal.
Side Guides
Galvanised steel guides 100mm deep x 50mm width. Incorporating a fabric retaining system to prevent the fabric pulling out of the guides under pressure from the fire source.
Roller Assembly
Enclosed within a 1.2mm galvanised steel head box. The barrel is manufacture from 76mm Diameter tube with 4mm wall, this give support to the curtain fabric and bottom rail.
Endplates
The curtain assembly is supported by mild steel endplates with mounting angles for fixing to the support structure

Electric Operation
The motor assembly is responsible for driving and then stopping the curtain in the normal operational position via a current limiting circuit and providing a controlled speed of descent via a back EMF generation.
Control Panel
The group control panel can support up to 6 No fire curtains rollers. In normal operation the GCP provides a constant 24v AC supply to the roller under its control. Should a fire condition arise or the test key activated the GCP removes the 24v and the curtains descends under the gravity.
Fire Resistance
To BS 476: Part 22: 1987. 4 hours fire resistance (tested by the Loss Prevention Council). LPCP Approved and certified.
