Steel Curtain
0.7mm galvanised steel, each section 100mm deep with a twin-ribbed face. The lath is made up from two individual lath sections held together over their length by the interlocking profile quirk section. The lath is built up together with endlocks to form the complete curtain. Infill is inserted into each lath section to provide a 0.7 W/m²/K U-value. The bottom of the curtain is fitted with an extrusion complete with an interlocking rubber strip.

Aluminium Curtain
Aluminium alloy sections incorporating twin ribbed faces for rigidity. Each 100mm section has insulation infill to provide a 0.7 W/m²/K U-value. When assembled, the curtain is held in place with endlocks positioned at each end of the 100mm lath sections. The bottom of the curtain is fitted with an extrusion complete with an interlocking rubber strip.

Roller Assembly
Mild steel tube, mounted on bright steel shafts running in ball races. Roller is fitted with a machine cut drive sprocket.

Endplates
Roller barrel assembly supported by mild steel endplates with mounting angles for connection to structure.

Side Guides
Cold rolled galvanised mild steel to form a channel section of adequate depth. Guides are fitted with a mild steel mounting angle in order to secure the guides to the opening structure. Plastic wear resistant strips are fitted to the toes of the guides.

Brush Strip
Aluminium extrusion with nylon brush for installation to structural soffit of the opening.

Handchain Operation
Available on shutters up to a size of 3500 x 3500mm. The chain is hauled hand over hand in order to raise or close the shutter. The operation is assisted by means of reduction gears and the counter balanced roller assembly. The handchain position can be handed to suit the site conditions.

Electric Motor Operation
Suitable 415V, 3 phase or 240V single phase motor (subject to shutter size) mounted on the shutter endplate complete with travel limit switches and emergency handchain operation. Control buttons on a surface mounted polycarbonate enclosure provide open, close, stop facility. The motor position can be handed to suit the site conditions.

Finish
All parts not galvanised are painted one coat protective primer (ex works), ready for site painting by others.
