The 32,000-seat stadium within the Ricoh Arena is the home of the
Sky Blues of Coventry City Football Club. It is the fourth ground
the club has called home since playing at Dowells Field and Stoke Road
under former name Singers FC and then Highfield Road from 1899-2005.
The
stadium is an asymmetric bowl with a full lower tier augmented by an
upper tier to the west stand. The unique feature of the west stand is
the inclusion of a 70 bedroom hotel with its own reception/lobby, lift
access, restaurant. The hotel rooms can be converted and used as
hospitality boxes on match days.
Since opening for business in the summer of 2005, the £113 million
development has proved a huge success attracting more than 500,000
visitors to a wide range of events and activities in the first six
months.
Northern Doors were awarded the contract to supply our Norfydor LPCB
rated Fire Resistant shutters (41) and our Safeguard 76 Security
Shutters (32) a total of 73no shutters. The shutters were fitted
within the Concession areas, Kiosks, Ticket Office, Club Shop and VIP
Function Suite.
