Transformation of coal fired power stations to more environment friendly biomass renewable fuels such as willow and RAPE.

Northern Doors were awarded individual contracts for each powerstation to supply external doors to the new biomass related buildings.

At Ferrybridge power station we supplied and installed 4 Safeguard 76 roller shutters fitting to the outside of the building with a powder coat finish.

At Drax & West Burton Power Stations the desin brief was to supply High Speed Fold Up Doors to extremely large openings. Our Passeclair high speed Fold up doors were the ideal solution to this problem. With the ability to fit to large openings and withstand high wind pressures. A total of 4 Passeclairs were installed varying in size from 6000 w x 8000 h, to 6500 w x 10000 h & 6000 w x 11000 h. A total 7 of our steel fire exit doors were also installed.
