| After over 100 years at the Baseball Ground Derby Country F.C. decided
the time was right for a move to a brand new purpose built 30,000 all
seater stadium at Pride Park near the city centre. Taylor Woodrow Construction
having been awarded the main contract turned to us for the resistant
roller shutter package. The works page included the design, manufacture
and installation of in excess of thirty electrically operated fire resistant
roller shutters to the fast food, restaurants, and refreshment bars
beneath the main stands. Working closely with the Taylor Woodrow design
team an agreement was reached on a specially designed Fire Resistant
Roller Shutter installation making best use of the standard opening
structure design. Each of the shutters had to be capable of normal operation
via locally positioned push button units. In addition the shutters of
the alarm close automatically upon receipt of the fire alarm signal
under a controlled rate of descent via gravity. This project was successfully
completed on schedule in time for the official opening by HRH the Queen
on the 14th July 1997 . |
